Terms & Conditions

These Terms and Conditions outline the rules and guidelines for using our services. By booking a tour, scheduling a personal trip planning session, or accessing our website, you agree to comply with the terms outlined below. These terms are designed to ensure a safe, enjoyable, and transparent experience for all our customers.
 

Please read this section carefully, as it details important information regarding reservations, cancellations, liability, and other essential policies. If you have any questions, feel free to contact us before proceeding with your booking.
 

By continuing to use our services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.

Tour Size & Exclusivity

  • Our tours are small and fully private, accommodating a maximum of four (4) customers per tour to ensure a personalized experience.
     

  • Considering the duration of our tours, physical demands of certain hiking activities, and the possibility of close encounters with wildlife, we designed our tours thoughtfully for adults, or families with members of +14 years old. Also, to protect your furry loved ones, we are not accepting pets in any of our tours.
    Our priority is ensuring comfort and safety for everyone. We appreciate your understanding!

Tour Restrictions

  • Consumption of drugs and/or alcohol before, during and at the end of our tour is not allowed except for courtesy alcoholic drinks offered only to adults as part of some packages.

  • Smoking or vaping is not allowed in any situation. Costa Rican law prohibits these activities in public (open or closed) spaces.

  • Single-use plastics (bottles, utensils, etc.)

  • Listening to music in the car or public places without earphones (your guide will be providing key information while on the road).

  • Some places prohibit cameras or photos. Please check with your guide if unsure. A a tour company, we follow our partner´s regulations.

  • Feeding animals in any of our visiting locations

  • Interacting with wild animals unless approved by our tour guide

  • Littering (fined by Costa Rican law)

Tour Accessibility

Due to varying accessibility conditions at some destinations, certain tours may not be suitable for customers with specific accessibility requirements. Please inform us at the time of booking so we can discuss options and make every effort to accommodate your needs.

Safety & Compliance

All customers are required to follow the instructions of their tour guide to ensure safety and compliance with local regulations. Tours are conducted in accordance with Costa Rican safety and environmental laws to preserve the country's rich biodiversity and customer´s personal safety. The company, or tour guide, has the right to cancel the tour without compensation or refunds if any of the customers refuse to follow our instructions and guidelines.

  • Emergency toiletries

  • Round-trip transportation with A/C, phone chargers

  • First-aid kit

  • Transportation insurance

  • Entrance fees to attractions

  • Coffee break(s) snacks and lunch

  • Binoculars & wildlife telescope (where applicable)

  • Dutch/English/Spanish-speaking certified tour guide

Tour Exclusions

  • Individual/travel insurance

  • Service tips

  • Additional snacks/drinks/souvenirs

  • Toilet use fees (if any at unplanned stops)

  • Personal prescribed medication

Refunds & Cancellations

  • If you need to cancel your tour, refund eligibility will depend on the notice given prior to the scheduled activity (planning session, tour or transfer).

  • Cancellations made  ten (10) business days in advance are eligible for a full refund. Cancellations made after ten (10) business days of the scheduled activity are not subject to refunds.

  • Cancellations will be confirmed via email in a 24-hour timeline.

  • Cancellation times are in Costa Rica (Central America) time.

  • No refunds will be issued for no-shows.

  • In cases of extreme weather or unforeseen circumstances (force majeure) where the company must cancel a tour or a planning support session, customers will be offered a full refund in the following fifteen (15) business days or the option to reschedule.

  • In the event of unforeseen circumstances (e.g., weather disruptions, natural events) that prevent the tour from proceeding as scheduled, we will reschedule for an alternative date during your stay. If rescheduling is not possible, we will provide a full refund within fifteen (15) business days.

  • For planning support sessions, customers needing to reschedule must advice the company via email with a minimum of 72 hours, otherwise no refunds will be proccessed and teh customer will need to schedule a new session.

Personal Data Management & Privacy

We value your privacy and handle personal data in compliance with Costa Rican data protection laws (Law No. 8968).​

  • Data Collection
    We only collect the information necessary to process your booking, such as your name, contact details, preferences, quality satisfaction and any relevant and general health or dietary requirements. In case of following our company in social media, their policies and regulations will apply.
     

  • Data Use
    Your information is used solely for providing and improving our services, and will never be sold or shared with third parties for marketing purposes.
     

  • Data Retention
    We store your data securely and only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected or as required by law.
     

  • Your Rights
    You may request access to, correction, or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us via our official communication channels or via self-service for marketing and article subscriptions.
